Note: Some time ago laylee and I both went through great mental anguish hunting this fic down, and were only able to access it via the magic of the Wayback Machine. Which, um, come to think of it, may mean that the author has disowned it (she does still have a website and, indeed, a LJ, but has abandoned the fannish for the political) and that linking it is a Very Bad Thing. Eh, well.

I barely remember the Due South episode that this references, and Mark Smithbauer might as well be an OMC as far as I'm concerned. (Fraser makes a walk-on appearance, though. I remember him.) But, all OTPs notwithstanding, I have a weakness for gay Danny/straight and/or oblivious Casey, and for Danny getting his heart broken by professional athletes; thus my affection for this story.
