New sitcom with a familiar face

There's a new TV series that just started last night called "Dads".  It's got Seth Green in it, who I would love to see counter Danny as a character in Sports Night (though he was probably too young at the time SN aired).  But I digress...

One of the "Dads" in the show is actually the same guy that played Danny's father in Sports Night, an actor named Peter Riegert.  I'm not sure how I feel about this...  Dads is supposed to be a comedy, but the thing is, I can only see Riegert in the pissy father role he played on Sports Night (I'm double parked, Danny").  I'll try to watch it.  Anyone else interested?

Meanwhile, I'm 4,700+ words into my latest Sports Night fic, and will hopefully finish & be able to post this week!

Peter Reigert actually has a long history in comedic roles, as well as dramatic. Animal House, M*A*S*H, Crossing Delancey. Though like you, when I see him now, I think "Dan's horrible father."
